Getting started
What does it mean to turn a website into an APK?
An APK is the file that installs an app on an Android phone. We wrap your website in a real Android app with your name, icon and splash screen, so people can open it from their home screen like any other app.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You paste your website address, upload an icon and press Build. There's no Android Studio and no code.
Does my website need to be mobile-friendly?
Yes, it works best if your site already looks good on a phone browser. What people see in the app is your website as it looks on a phone.
Can I preview my app before paying?
Yes. Open Build My App, enter your website address and you'll see a free sample preview straight away — no sign-up needed.
Building and installing
How long does a build take?
Usually about 15–20 minutes. We'll let you know when your APK is ready to download.
How do I install the APK on my phone?
Download the file on your Android phone and tap it. If Android asks, allow installs from your browser, then tap Install.
Why does my phone say "App not installed"?
Usually an older copy of the app with a different signature is already on the phone. Remove the old app and install again.
Does it work on iPhone?
Not yet — iOS apps are coming soon. Today AppifyWebsite builds Android apps (APK and AAB files); annual and Lifetime customers will get iPhone builds first.
Google Play
Can I publish my app on Google Play?
Yes. Paid plans include an AAB file signed with your own key — the format Google Play requires. You upload it in your own Google Play developer account.
What's the difference between an APK and an AAB?
An APK installs directly on a phone and is great for testing and sharing. An AAB is what you upload to Google Play, which then creates the right APK for each phone.
Will Google Play accept a website app?
Google wants apps to offer more than a plain website. Features like an offline screen, push notifications, Google sign-in and a proper back button help your app feel like a real app.
Features and updates
Do I need a new APK when I change my website?
No. The app always shows your live website, so content changes appear straight away. Rebuild only when you change app settings like the icon, name or features.
Can users sign in with Google inside the app?
Yes. Every app uses Android's own Google account picker, so users choose their account in one tap.
Can I send push notifications?
Yes, using your own free Firebase project. Our step-by-step guide walks you through the setup.
Can I earn money with ads?
Yes. You can add AdMob banner, full-screen, rewarded and native ads, with test ads on by default so your account stays safe while you try them.
What happens when there's no internet?
The app shows a friendly offline screen with your branding and reconnects by itself when the internet is back.

What happens after the free trial?
After 14 days you'll need a paid plan to keep building. Apps you've already installed keep working.
